Are you interested in minimising the use of synthetic fertilisers while improving nutrient retention and soil biology? Learn about the benefits of using cover crops including biofumigants for nutrient cycling, improving soil microbial activity and disease suppression at an upcoming field walk at the Soil Wealth ICP demonstration site at Butler Market Gardens (127 Taylors Rd, Skye Vic 3977).

Participants will hear from experts Doris Blaesing (Soil Wealth ICP/RMCG) about cover crop selection and application and Bruce Scott (Campbells Fertilisers Australasia Pty Ltd) about nitrogen inhibiting fertilisers and their application in vegetable production systems to increase nutrient use efficiency.

Also hear from Butler Market Gardens operations manager Dale Creed who will provide an overview of the farming operations, and Camilla Humphries (Soil Wealth ICP/RMCG) who will provide an update on the demonstration trial findings.
