Vegetable and melon growers know that managing on-farm waste – whether it’s organic, plastic or workshop waste – is a key issue that needs to be addressed to build a sustainable business.
Two national projects have made significant progress in identifying the type and amount of waste in Australia’s primary industries, including non-packaging plastic waste, and what steps need to be taken to manage it.
