Soil Wealth ICP team member Dr Doris Blaesing contributed to the updated Fertcare Plant Sampling Guide, which is now available and includes significant changes to previous sampling notes.
The Guide is applicable to a broad range of agricultural farming systems and will assist agronomists and others taking plant samples to determine what sampling approach is best taken for different crops and pastures (e.g. planning. monitoring and diagnostic). The Fertcare Plant Sampling Guide defines what constitutes good plant sampling practice.
Dr Blaesing worked with Dr Chris Dowling from Back Paddock Company to prepare the guide. It has undergone extensive review which includes the Fertcare Technical Committee and the Fertcare ASPAC Committee. This means the Guide contains the latest plant sampling information and has the support of the leading plant nutrition scientists and practitioners.
